Wyatt's 1st Halloween

Since Wyatt is so little and doesn't a) understand Halloween and b) eat solids, we decided to just stay at home this year and hand out candy instead of get candy! (mom and dad don't need any candy) So, this year he was a pumpkin! I don't think he liked it too much once he figured out he couldn't move his arms. You be the judge! However, it is great for teething! (see pic 3)

Breakfast in Bed

Many people ask, "How is Avery doing with Wyatt?" Well the truth is she LOVES him!! I was a little worried that she would be jealous because she was first and all, but nope! Sure, every now and again she whines for some attention, but for the most part she just carries on as usual. When Avery is scared, she goes to the side of Wyatt's crib (only if he's in it) and sits there just watching and waiting. We aren't sure if she is protecting him or if she knows she is safe around him. Either way it's cute! Right after we moved in, Nathan was hanging pictures on the walls, the noise scares Avery to death. I found her shaking and trying to climb into Wyatt's crib. So I put her in to see what she would do. Just as I thought, she curled up in a little ball at his feet and went to sleep! Of course, I didn't leave her in there with him, what kind of a mother do you think I am? Long story short...they are good friends and recently Wyatt has been offering Avery his hands after he spits up all over them.....GROSS huh?? Well she seems to like it and he's not complaining either!
Last week he fish hooked her jaw and he has quite the grip. She just sat there while he tugged and pulled looking at us to come to her rescue. No growling or biting, just calm and relax!

Perhaps we've grown a bit big for the bouncer??

Wyatt refuses to stay on his back these days! I put him in his bouncer and turn around and he's on his tummy trying to wiggle out. Silly kid! He sure knows how to melt my heart though! (neither photo was posed, just a normal day in the house of Fortie)

He looks like Nathan here so much!!

My First Sewing Project

Well I did it, I took the plung and starting sewing! My mom recently gave me a sewing machine because I have been wanting to learn to sew. A few weeks ago I sat down and started to learn how to make these cute burp cloths. It's a start!! I have to be honest, it took me longer to figure out how to thread the machine than it did to actually sew! LOL!!!!

Plus, I have gifts now for all those baby showers that I so frequently get asked too! :)

Spare Time (Part Two)

Here are a couple of cute containers/ boxes that can hold anything you like! I think they are great for bird seed at weddings myself, but I guess you could put anything in them.

Also, a few weeks back I bought the crimper tool to make the sour cream containers you saw in a previous post.
Well, I found another use. See greeting card/ holder below. (Will also hold Kool-aid packets, pop rocks, etc) Thanks to Dawn from Stamp'nUp!! I'm loving her blog and tutorials!!

In my spare time....

Since having Wyatt and being at home, I have been going a little stir crazy. Yes, he does take a lot of my time, but he does sleep quite a bit too. So, here are a few of my projects I've been working on lately.

            which actually have candy
                          in them!

Also, I am learning to sew. While it's no outfit, it's a work in progress!!
Pictures to come.......

This BIG 3-0!!!

This past weekend we celebrated Nathan's 30th B-day in Houston with friends and family! We went to Texas Roadhouse because he loves their rolls and cinnamon butter!!! After our dinner, he had to sit on a saddle while everyone gave him a big Texas Roadhouse HOWDY!!!! See pics below...

In other news this week....

Wyatt has started to really teethe! OH MY GOODNESS!! I birthed him and now I have to help him grow teeth too!! He has been pretty misreable and putting everything he can into his mouth to chew. I've done teething tablets, ice, cold chew toys from the freezer, but nothing seems to work! He's just not happy sometimes, which is not normal for my little guy!! Let's hope he gets them in before Christmas!
All I want for Christmas is HIS 2 front teeth!! However, then we have to grow the other ones!!

Roll'n, Roll'n, Roll'n....on the belly!

Wyatt has mastered the roll from back to belly this week! He was able to roll from belly to back, now he can do the other way. I think he feels like a big boy now that he can do this!

I just love this outfit and had to snap a picture! Everyone knows my love of shoes and my sister gave me these. Don't they just complete the outfit? I think so!!!

4 Months!!!!

Wyatt hit 4 months today!!!
Here are some of his stats...
12 lbs 4 oz
24 3/4 in. long
Eats 5 to 6 oz every 3 to 4 hours
Sleeps about 7-9 hours every night (Hallelujah!)
Smiles ALL the time.

In other news, we decided to try out cereal today! It didn't go so well. There's always next month, right?? :) I'm trying to upload the video, but it's not working.

After the screaming was soothed by a bottle, he had a lot to say about the tramatic event....see below.
